Franklin Plaza

Design of electrical systems including distribution, fire alarm and security.

This new electrical system for the 14-building complex replaced most of the original system which dated from 1960 while reinforcing still usable elements. In addition to such new components as main distribution panels, service switches and apartment distribution panels, existing underground service laterals were reinforced with new sets of service laterals. There is new wiring throughout using existing conduits, and in apartments there are new circuits and receptacles for kitchen appliances. Franklin Plaza is an affordable, multifamily co-op in uptown Manhattan’s East Harlem offering 1, 632 units.
